Well here we go again rescuing another kitty..:/ someone just dumped him out at our house.. this makes the 4th one dumped what is with people around here
I wished I could find this one a new home but no body seems to want a cat. He is so sweet although he is a very needy kitty has to know where you are at every giving minute of the day. anyways here his pic.. did I say he is a beautiful black cat!! The ginger fluffy cat is our other male his name of course is fluffy..lol and we have 3 female cats.. feel like the crazy cat lady I think he could be finally fitting in but still unsure they other kitties hiss and growl at him still..
I've seen that before. My conclusion is that it's a cat on a flatbed scanner.
There are two main types of lower cost flatbed scanner, and one type will capture more depth if you will which is what I see in that image. If I put a cat on our old Canon scanner that image would not happen, you'd only get what is immediately in contact with the glass basically. But the Epson we got more recently would probably be able to do this. You'd probably need mostly dark to capture the image the way it is there.
Technically, what you need is a CCD scanner. Many really thin scanners (like my Canon mentioned) use a CIS instead. Those can't scan a 3D object. See Scanner Features and Definitions - Resolution It isn't super expensive to get a CCD scanner; the Epson we have was still under $100.
Thanks for that info, but it's probably a moot point. Whenever I want to use my scanner/printer I usually have to wake up/remove a cat from it. But if I tried to get one of them to sit still on it long enough for a scan.... well good luck with that- never happen. I might give it a shot some day though & maybe get lucky.
Kirby is a very beautiful boy. He very much reminds me of a sweet cat my wife & I had years ago.
Thanks for posting this.
