Yeah, May 22-May 25 we'll be gone. If I left the kittens here I would be worried sick. The momma can take care of herself. But I'm afraid if she stays here she will have more kittens in a few months. She had this batch under the neighbors porch, then she moved them to our shed.

They all survived the big storms Friday. But we didn't get hit as bad as Reynolds county and up north did. We didn't lose power or anything.

The kittens are very tame. The momma is not. They live in our shed addition, which has three walls. There's a futon cushion in there that they sleep on. Momma cat picked a comfy, fairly secure spot for her babies. But I pick up the kittens and pet them and they seem to like it. Sometimes they purr.

I'd guess about 4 weeks? They eat solid food, but I think they're still nursing.

Here's Momma April 15

And her running away:

She doesn't look pregnant there, but she was also skinny.

Notice the relationship between intelligence / inanity as you near the cat...

Here are a few more pictures of Mika, I haven't posted any since I got her...now she's all grown up...she won't get any bigger my Vet told me, she's only 10 months old.

See her thumb in the picture below? When she plays with little things, it's totally cute the way she tries to pick them up with both her paws.

I love this cat, her personality is so different than most "house" cats that I have had.

: ps. Just a reminder she is a Scottish fold....so her ears are ALWAYS that way, she's not mad.
