PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter got a kitten from a friend, only to find out that she is only 5 weeks old. We had to buy some powder kitten milk and a feeding bottle, but we do not know how often we should be feeding her, is it very 5 hours, we just do not know. She has not done a poop, I have been massaging her anal area with cotton wool and warm water, but it has been 5 days now and she has not done a poop. What can we do next, please help, as we just do not know what to do regarding her eating and pooping.

You might want to start your own thread w/ this so more posters will see this. I would take the kitten to the vet for a full health check. Why was your daughter's friend giving away such a young kitten?

Please take the kitten to the vet...immediately.

A five week old kitten should be able to eat canned cat/kitten food, and use the litter box on her own. Your kitten needs the vet.

I agree with catsmom, the kitten should be able to potty on its own at 5 weeks. Are you feeding the kitten wet food? Kittens eat so frequently that they usually poop at least once per day. I would take the kitten to a vet.

At 5 weeks this kitten still needs it's mother. Please call the friend's mother and explain it's too young to give away and have your daughter return it for a fee weeks. No poop in 5 days? She needs to get to the vet to see if there's a blockage. If she's eating feed slightly watered down CANNED food. It's higher in protein than the kibble loaded with useless fillers.

We had a kitten that age, or younger. He licked the gravy off the wet food, and we gave him kitten food. He was so small his litter box was a cookie sheet with a raised edge, he was too small to get into anything else. We had another cat, no mother instinct, hated the kitten, but never bit him, just hissed.

VET...
at 5 weeks while kitten should still be with mommy and siblings for mental and emotional development, in terms fo phyical development it should be starting to eat mushy foods, and use the bathroom without ANY stimulation.. at this age he should already be starting to use the litterbox, eating, playing, and be very interactive. (mommy usually starts weaning at 4-6 weeks old and kitens are usually FULLY weaned by 8-10 weeks)

if kitten hasnt pooped in a week, theres a problem and a vet needs to take a look, kitten also needs deworming and first set of shots at around 6 weeks so kill 2 birds with one stone, get kitten in, checked and dewormed.
a kitten with a blockage can quickly become a very sick kitten...
