I would to love to have that quirky combination. I don't know if it's genetically possible for an adult black cat to have blue eyes.

I suppose the only way to get one is to breed siamese with black cats and hope you hit it lucky. I've talked to some local breeders. None of them has ever seen one, and of course, they only breed cats to obtain a specific breed.

Anyone here heard of one?

Yes, it's possible but very rare. And, chances are if it has blue eyes it has some Siamese in it.

Have you seen one, Kaye?

Cool, Gardener. My daughter actually has a blue eye and a greenish-hazel eye. The blue eye is a striking sky-blue.

Eeee- yes, a friend of mine has one, she picked it up on the side of the road. It is completely black with striking blue eyes (the color of blue topaz). We think it must have some Siamese in it because the cat is very intelligent and has a very loud meow, which is a distinctive trait of Siamese. Like I said, they are very rare, if you find one it will probably be a stroke of luck.

I am blue with envy, Kaye. That is so cool.

BTW. Anybody see a "Chessie" Kitten in the graph of my response history below?

Siamese cats are not the only cats with blue eyes. All Ragdolls have blue eyes as well.
One of my daughters Munchkin cats gave birth to a few black kittens awhile back. They all have blue eyes, as Mom is a blue eyed colorpoint. She just had a litter with 3 little pure black ones...not sure if they will keep the blue eyes or not.

Yeah, I've seen some black ones with blue eyes as kittens. Then they always seem to fade. I'm not a cat expert to know about Ragdolls. I'll have to look those up. Thanks.

Eeeee- Ragdolls are wonderful cats, very docile and friendly. They are especially well suited for families with children. Not to mention, they are very beautiful. A stray I am taking care of is a Ragdoll, she's purrrrfect lol.
