Here we are, one week and two days after Gambo went over the bridge and is finally free and happy ... we picked his ashes up Friday and it’s a weird feeling when they say “here is Gambo”, and they hand you a paper bag.
When we donated most of his medication and stuff to a local rescue lady last weekend, she mentioned she has a beautiful Russian Blue that needs a home. She mentioned especially her as I am allergic and supposably Russian Blues are a better fit in most cases. Of course, considering that she is a “street cat”, no one knows what she really is and how much of her is “Russian”.
We went to meet her today and she is the cutest thing ever!!! Very interesting fur, blue / silver color, and just a sweet heart. I had a terrible reaction there, but as we didn’t know if it’s because of her or the other cats, we all agreed that we give her a one week vacation at our place.
Cross your paws it works out!!! She is currently hiding under a cabinet. But when you speak to her she starts purring.
Oh, how wonderful! "She starts purring"..........I would not be able to resist, especially since you were enthralled by her from first sight. Please do everything you can to make it work, for BOTH of you (and your extended family members if you have any in your household).
Oh this is wonderful to hear! I believe that when we choose a pet or a pet chooses us our heart grows a little bit. Then when that pet passes they take a piece of our heart with them. No one will replace Gambo but if this works out your heart will get a little it bigger and you will have a new furbaby to love.
Me too. I hope you can post a few pictures of kitty.
Sorry about Gambo.
