I'm a sucker for a sweet, cute lil puss. I have 2 myself and hope to always keep two for life. You ever wonder why you love cats so much? Like what is it about them that pull at your heartstrings?

Here a few reasons why I adore cats:
-they are little, baby-sized and can cuddle up easily in my arms or on my lap.
-I'm a sucker for their little faces. Something about the big eyes, little buttony noses, whiskers and tiny mouths that I find so adorable.
-they are low maintenance and stay very clean.
-they're fur is usually soft
-I live their little meows
-they remind me of tiny little tigers and lion cubs and I love watching them play. Just funny.

What about you?

They are big cuddlers and very affectionate
Playtime is fun and entertaining, it's like playing with a little kid
Grooming them is relaxing, she flops over and purrs and purrs
Their cuteness is overwhelming, one look at them will melt my heart
Our meowing conversations, don't know what we're saying but it's awfully sweet
They make me smile

they are too small to eat me
they dont have a lawyer
they dont care if i forget to get them an anniversary gift
they ask so little and give so much
sometimes they dont want any food they just like being around me
they dont have a fit if i go out for a few hours
a little food and some attention and they are happy

My cat is not exactly small and she's not very affectionate- as she runs away when I try to pet her, I can only pet her about twice a day on her own terms. She has to come to me and TELL me she wants to cuddle (with a distinct squeal), not the other way around. But still she is kind.

I always have someone to play with.
She listens to me.
She answers back (in cat language).
She follows me around, I'm never alone (can't even have peace & quiet when using the bathroom).
She greets me when I come home.
Cats are beautiful and gracious, even though mine misses target and falls all the time.
They're entertaining.
They're clean.
They come with dignity.

Because they:

are independent, loyal and affectionate;
have found 1001 sleep positions, each one more adorable than the next;
are fun to watch, whether they are playing, hunting or standing their ground (I love that arched back, I'm-much-bigger-than-you-think-I-am thing that they do!);
never cease to amaze, entertain and delight me with their antics;
appreciate and love me no matter what (right back at 'ya, kitties!)

Because altho I daily find myself yelling in horror at their antics or threatening them with dire consequences if they don't behave THIS MINUTE, I melt into a disgusting puddle of mush when
  • DC insists on cuddling up under my chin when I go to bed
  • Nudge posts her little paws on my shoulders and squeaks at me while I'm drinking coffee
  • They both roll over onto their backs and want their tummies rubbed when I get home from work
  • Nudge sits in the living room window and watches as my car pulls up to the garage
  • DC miaows at me in concern and consternation when I talk/rant to myself about my latest annoyance

My cats do this on occasion and I have to stop what I'm doing to rub their tummies. I've had cats my whole life but never had cats before these and wanted their tummies rubbed. Freaking adorable!

in no particular order:

follow me around the house
the "I'm so innocent" look
the "I love you" look
smiles
purring when I do the simplest thing
the noises they make when they sleep
sleeping near me
cracking me up in endless ways
extreme loyalty
sometimes understand English
don't ask for much--not complicated
always happy to be with me
warm and soft
the way they walk--one like "I'm on a mission" and the other like "I'm so important around here."
always doing something that requires a picture being taken
seem to be grateful that they were rescued, seem to say "thank you"

I like animals in general. They're usually quieter than dogs, when they do make noise.
