Wow, thanks everyone! My cat tends to get finicky out of the blue so it's nice to know there are plenty of options. I did some searching online and see that most of these are available here in the Triangle Area of NC. Lottamoxie have you tried trianglepet.com? I see that Nature's Variety, Evo and other brands are available there, and they deliver in the area... how cool is that!

I have to chuckle... mine is a "social eater" also, and has to have something when we're sitting at the table, (and I've "caved" in the past, which is probably why she's overweight due to all these extracurricular feedings). AND also has her own bathroom LOL!

You could try Nutra Cal. It comes in a tube and you can find it at the pet food stores. It's a high calorie supplement.

The what to feed question. The experts cannot agree,so what are we laymen to do?Most sources give Wellness high marks.Just one problem for me;my cat does not like it,and will only eat it if she is very hungry, and even then just picks at it.Her favorite canned food by far is Purina Pro Plan.Much better than supermarket junk brands, but not quite premium quality. She prefers chicken & rice and turkey & rice in gravy, and that is the problem. The usual advice is to avoid grain and rice fillers, but she loves the stuff.A premium brand that seems to be highly rated and recently tried is Natural Balance. She likes it much better than Wellness,so may gradually work it in.Rather pricey though.

Just got back from the store and purchased a few cans of Blue Bufallo Wilderness...turkey and chicken, which are the only 2 flavors they make(or at least the store carried). I am thrilled to say...all 6 are eating the turkey with gusto! Never has this happened! Tomorrow will give the chicken a try...I am so thrilled! We gave the BB Wilderness dry a try a few weeks ago and they loved that as well. One of the Raggies has problems with her stomach. Many of the foods make her *** after she eats...so far Wellness Core was one of the few that she could keep down. BB Wilderness is the 2nd!

I pay $1.69 per can for Weruva; $1.39 per can for Wellness and Merrick. I've stopped with the Merrick because it contains veggie pieces and the last few cans 2 of my cats have left food with the veggies in it on their plate.

One of my cats didn't like Wellness at first so I didn't buy it for a long time. Then I got a coupon for a free can and she ate it, so I bought it again. Now she always eats it. I do think cats go through cycles of liking/not liking foods.

you should also consider Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's soul -- it is high quality and made with natural ingredients. And not bad price either!

I buy the 3 oz size because I only have 1 cat. I pay $.98 for wellness and $1.29 for the Weruva.

I pay $1.27 per can for Blue Buffalo (5.5oz, he gets 1/4 can per day), at PetSmart, and $1.39 per can for the Merrick Gourmet at PetPeople. The turkey and chicken BB Wilderness are the only flavors that it comes in.

Was the BB the Wilderness? This was at Petco...I gotta check out PetSmart prices! They only had the 3 oz. for $1.59.
