About a year ago, I got this bright idea that I would try and give one of my cats a haircut. Her name is Bean and although she LOOKS like a Maine Coon, she's really a mutt alley cat.

Here is what she looked like then (and thankfully looks like again now) followed by the results of my impromptu "furcut".

Hopefully y'all can forgive me. No malice intended. I've had her since she was born and yes I had her spayed at 4 months and she's a strictly indoor cat that sees lots of love.

Good Grief!

What was the reason for the haircut?

OMG! That poor thing LOL!!!! Why would you give her a hair cut? She looks just like my Sidney.
I cant stop laughing, that poor thing. Whatever you do, remove all the mirrors from the house, DO NOT let her see herself like that! LOL.
Hold on, I have to go get my fiance for this one...

I'm a groomer & that doesn't look too bad for a first time home groom

My cats do not care what they look like. They just care about food & love. I keep mine
shaved to control the shedding. It really does help & we don't live in a cold climate, so
they are not freezing ever.

Des-Lab,

She is too a Maine Coon, look at the tufts in her ears and feet....classic signs. She looks alot like my Bubba....he looked almost that bad when I brought him in. He had an infected cut over his eye, swollen lump, mats and tangles that no groomer could have gotten through... While the vet cleaned up the eye, I chopped at the mats with scissors. He looked hole-y when we got finished. But it grew back and he's the love of my life.....

Tell her not to fret; it'll grow back. She does look a little PO'd in that last photo.
