Well the pictures are more than a year old. I just posted it because I thought it was cute and that some of you would get a kick out of it. Her fur has grown completely back (and then some). So she now looks basically the same as she did in #1.

I seriously, seriously doubt that she's a purebred Main Coon. Judging from her appearance, she has SOME in her, no doubt. She looks similar to her mother cat. Father cat is unknown. But fact is: she was born from a stray. Doubtful that it was purebred just for that reason alone.

Bean was one from a litter of five. There was a second kitten that looked pretty much identical, but was a male. Two others were long hair orange 'tabby' pattern. And the fifth (runt) which is now Beans companion and playmate is a gray tabby. Who has grown into the size of a small bobcat and weighs in excess of 20 pounds.

The reason I attempted the cut was...well....I'm not really sure. I guess just less fur.

I threaten to shave Bubba every week when I get out the Furbuster and work on him.....that cat has more hair than a herd of sheepdogs.... But then I'd laugh at him all shaved and scrawny.

My friend has her Persian shaved a couple of times a year....her husband gets stuck picking her up from the groomer and always emails the latest "Pout picture" and she looks PISSED OFF!!! of course they put a bow around her neck too, I'd be pissed off at a bow myself!!!

Thanks for sharing the photos....too funny!!! Poor thing! I came very close to doing that to my cats after a hurricane knocked out our power for some time in the middle of summer. I had decided that if it didn't come on the next day I would get out the scissors and give them some relief from the heat. Luckily the AC came back on just in time!!!!
