My moms cat had to be euthanized due to mysterious health issues, he was at least 13 and an outdoor cat that we know of. When he was found he was intact, he was neutered but remained an indoor/outdoor cat until mom moved with my dad to my dads house.. they married.
When the end was near Monty had pulled out the hair on his rear leg and belly. he has had many signs. Bad teeth, swollen lympth nodes, fever, at least it felt warm, drolling, thinness, not eating. Now what really weired was that he was tested for FIV and Feline luek about a year or so after he moved in with our other cats (it turned out negative). but around a year or so before he declined. The vets thought he had cancer.
it is possible he was in fact fiv+? should I have my 2 tested?. They have spend alot of time with him over a year one of them has had battles with Monty too. Not bite wounds on him but he has gotten scratches. Bindi is now calmer and is eating well so is Leopalorn. Both my cats are indoors only
