Lately my vet visits haven't been the best. I have 3 cats, 15 and 16 yrs old, so I know my visits will decline with good news as they get older. I took my sweet Lily in this morning because the other day I notice a lump on her leg. Three years ago I had a lump removed from her left leg which turned out to be fibrosarcoma. My vet did an excellent job of getting it out, the edges on the biopsy showed clear when he sent it out. Never came back. This new lump is on the right leg. He did a needle biopsy, and slightly mentioned to me that it's a lot of liquid which might be a good sign. Of course stupid me gets my hopes up while waiting. Well there were suspicious cells in it, so now we have her scheduled to have it removed on Thursday. I feel horrible that she has to go through this again, but her health is otherwise good.

I just ask that anyone who reads this to think good thoughts for a good outcome for my Lily. I've had the worse luck this year, and maybe with a little good thoughts coming this way she will have the same outcome as before, free and clear of cancer.

She gets her surgery done Thursday, and hopefully by the following Tuesday or Wednesday I'll know if it went well with the biopsy. Will let everyone know the results.

Best of luck to both of you! I went through the same thing with my late cat Bo. He had a cancerous lump removed from his flank when he was 11 years old. It never came back. He lived to be 17. I hope things go well for you guys, too.

Good luck. I had four operations done on a cat I used to have, in order to remove a lump which kept reappearing on her thigh (malignant). The operations were all about six months apart. There wasn't enough skin left on her leg to do it a fifth time, so she was euthanized. But she lived to almost 15.
