I kind of thought that the producers were really sticking it to Charlie in the funeral part. I guess to some degree he deserves it. I've never been a fan of the first show with Sheen in it. I just didn't get the humor. Never really got any belly laughs from it. Sheen was about as Narcassistic as they come and the show lacked any real comedy. Same show every time. Charlie (who is not even good looking) got all the girls and his dufus brother was lame.

I think they're trying to do the same thing with this new one. Make Ashton the man and dufus remains dufus. I guess if that is your sort of humor-kudos. I just think that it is the silliest most over-rated show on t.v.

Having said that, if I had to pick, I would probably like it better with Ashton. But won't like it much to begin with with either person. And I agree with Charlie about them making him wear those stupid bowling shirts. The whole show is dumb. And that kid is now like thirty, so they should call it three men.

I personally liked shows like King of Queens, Seinfeld, The office, and Curb your Enthusiasm better. Those shows are much more funnier to me..

Angus, the kid, is 18. The only show you listed that is not just in reruns on regular tv is The Office. Most shows are much better on Premium Chanels as they have more freedom and creativity. Pretty sure Ashton's character, Walden, was lacking in personality because he had attempted suicide. Given that they already had him having sex with two girls and was naked quite a bit, I think the sexual themes will not change. We'll see.

Default Charlie pushed in front of a train??

Missed the episode, But am interested to see it. I heard Rose pushed Charlie in front of a train! Morbid to say the least.

Sheen was great in the show, but it was much of the same regarding his character. Alan's character was always entertaining, with the messes he got himself into. Though Berta's character lines sometimes stole the show.

She does. It's called "Roseanne"

I liked the episode. Hilarious from start to finish. I've had faith that Ashton could pull it off and I think he will, because he isn't another Charlie Harper. And I think he looks good, too. I am SO glad he got rid of that cutsey haircut he wore for several years.

If walking around naked is something his character will commonly do then the dynamics with Berta oughta' be a scream.

I watched part of it, it was awkward having Charlie dead and making jokes but I think they handled it pretty well. I like all the former actors, am neutral so far about Kutcher. My DH thinks Alan is more of a jerk now. We'll give it a few more episodes, we really did enjoy the show before.

Not the same without Charlie Sheen.

Not sure it's going to be something I watch in the future. I'll give it another chance...but, meh.
