Megan Piper is an adult film actress who was ready to go to a high-school prom with a student Mike Stone.
The Minnesota teen got so fed up with everyone asking him who he was going to take to prom that he started inviting adult starlets and after sending out more than 600 tweets, Mike received a provisional 'yes' from porn star Megan Piper - on the condition that he paid for her air fare from Los Angeles to Oakdale, Minnesota.
Another adult film star Emy Reyes, also responded to the tweet saying, "Awww that's reappear [sic] hun and I would love tooo."
Mike chose Megan, but the school says no way.
Patty Phillips, superintendent of the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District, said that Piper, 19, would be prohibited from attending the dance because her appearance would be 'inconsistent' with two district policies pertaining to visitors to school buildings and sites, according to Fox News.
The policy states that anyone can be denied entry to those events if the visit is 'not in the best interest' of the district.
If he had just taken her without broadcasting who she was & making a big deal about it, would they have known the difference? Just because she's done adult films doesn't make her famous, she looks like any random girl in the street. I didn't answer the poll because I don't really care either way.
Well, I don't follow the porn industry (unless listening to the Howard Stern show counts) but I'd guess there's really only a handful of stars who might be recognized by the general public...Jenna Jameson, Bree Olson (because of the Charlie Sheen thing), Ron Jeremy, James Deen. If a school official recognized this Megan Piper, do you think they would be willing to explain who she is to their colleagues? If they want to ban her, it's the kid's own fault. It was a stunt and it backfired on him. Not exactly a civil rights issue.
I voted yes, since her job shouldn't matter. She's a teenaged girl that was asked to a dance by a teenaged boy. She should be able to go, she not that far removed from her HS years that she would know not to dress risque or innappropriate.
No. Porn has way to prevalent a place in our society. What's a high school kid doing knowing all this porn stuff? Schools are supported by tax payers. Parents who pay taxes and don't want their kids subjected. Other kids may not be porn freaks and want to have a good time without having some porn person stealing the show and turning the whole thing into a circus.

The first exposure I got to porn was at my friend's house in middle school. Most of my friends in the neighborhood already had the dirty stuff when middle school started.
