That says it for me,too.
What a shame to lose him when he is only 66. He certainly provided a lot of entertainment over the years. Yes, he will be missed. RIP, Davey.
I loved him when I was in high school. "I wanna be free". Can hear that song in my head right now. I think he is the first Monkee to pass away?
Just saw the Monkees in August (without Mike Nesmith) Davy was just as good a performer as he ever was. I was disappointed to miss a show he did in NYC on the 18th of this month. I had pics of Davy plastered on my wall as a young teenager. His adorable looks matched his phenomenal talent. I was shocked to hear the news. The other three Monkees are still with us.
I agree about the getting old thing - we just see more and more of this, both in our personal lives and with celebrities and other public figures who have, for one reason or another, had an impact on us.
He resided part time in a small central Pennsylvania town, where he generously supported the local library there as well as other community efforts. He was so down to earth. You will be missed Davy.
This song did not have the popularity that many did, but I loved it nevertheless
