He did indeed have a heavenly voice. Their harmonies were spectacular, especially in their earlier music from the 60s (which news writers and other people always seem to forget about): Massachusetts, New York Mining Disaster 1941, To Love Somebody, etc.
Other great songs from that era would be Lonely Days, Tomorrow Tomorrow, First Of May, World, and many more album cuts from their first four lp's. From the time when New York Mining Disaster 1941 was released in the summer of '67 they consistently had a top 20 song on the charts for the next couple years. I'm very saddened to hear of his passing. RIP Robin. I wish someone would find a cure for this hideous disease.
