James Bond (and movies like it) are geared towards men so they can live the fantasy of being the 'international man of mystery' and have super hot women falling all over them. Women don't watch these movies wistfully hoping they can find a spy to screw them over.

As for me...no thanks. I prefer stability and not being left when a hotter woman comes along. I don't like lies and manipulation.

What if the guy was all that but without the "spy" part?

What if his job enabled him to travel to some of the best spots, live a certain lifestyle as a way to interact with the clients, to partake of the finer things as set decoration, and just so happens to have enough of the physical look that many single (and yes some married) women in that lifestyle find attractive. What if its all an unscripted improv and he is expected to come off a certain way, to smile that smile, to challnege the man, or to dissapear on cue? Would you not date him when the curtain call is over?

Nope, not at all. Actually, I've always felt that James Bond character was never supposed to be overtly sexually appealing to women because the focus on the movies is always about the male fantasy.

the same could be said of the romantic movies that play to the female fantasy of being 'swept of their feet'...Men don't really understand movies like that because they are not designed for them, they are more designed for women, I guess Bond is our version I suppose

Barry Nelson (1954)
Sean Connery (1962–1971 & 1983)
David Niven (1967)
George Lazenby (1969)
Christopher Cazenove (1973)
Roger Moore (1973–1985)
Timothy Dalton (1986–1993)
Pierce Brosnan (1995–2002)

Daniel Craig
My vote is for Peter Sellers.

Men can tell the difference too. Like why the hell is he carrying that Astra Constable .380 ACP and Walther PPK when he could have had a Browning High Power in 9mm and a 1911 .45 ACP back in the 50's and early to mid 60's. You're outgunned with your cap gun suit guy of mystery!

I love James Bond movies.

I'd be ok with travel as long as I could go (provided I have work flexibility). Dapper dress is nice too. Witty banter as well is fun.

The womanizing, spying and danger I could do without.

My type is the intellectual life of the party.
