He very well may have been. Addictions in people can be well concealed until things start spinning out of control. Sad story regardless.

If he was buck naked, why does he have a shirt on in the mug shot? I saw the video where they released him with paper clothes.

Country music star randy travis has had a bad couple of years. I hope he gets it together & bounces back. The greyson county texas sheriffs dept (ricky wheeler) arrested randy for felony retaliation & obstruction charge. I bet hes one proud cop. Ugh !

I was also disappointed to hear about this.

He's always been a class act. Like another I had a chance to meet him and he came off as truly a nice guy. Not one just faking it for the fans.

I hope this is his rock bottom and he gets the help he needs.

Parking lot of a church- he is a super nice guy and lives in the North Texas area in a small country town close to the OK/TX board by the Red River. The gas station he went to he was a regular at. I believe the split from his much older wife/manager is not helping this fellow. I wish him the best.

You know when I read about his latest arrest, all I could think was "George Jones done gone got a replacement". Jones use to be a badass, but he never got naked in public.

But seriously, I hope Randy gets his s**t together because he use to be one of my favorites back in the 90's and I still listen once in a while.

I agree . . .I saw him on an episode of the Hour of Power- this was a few years back- and while being interviewed by Dr. Schuller, admitted that in his younger days he was a wilda crazy chap . . .so in some sense, this doesn't surprise me. Still, like others here, I wish him well and hope he gets his life back on track.

Travis is an intelligent man. You can't be that creative and hold a career together that long and not be bright. Sometimes they get too bright and have a look at themselves and the world- and their so-called success and simply give up...Every good artist has a bit of a messiah complex..they in their youth want to make a positive difference...They dedicate their lives to that dream - Then as time passes they look around and figure out - it was a waste of time and they can't wait to get off of this corrupt mud ball. At this point as he ages he had better figure out one thing- That most of the world does not want salvation..That it is a sink or swim situation- His primary goal at this time should be to SAVE HIMSELF....He feels sorry for himself and probably feels like a failure...The other problem is that he has accumulated wealth- with that he can get a drink anytime he wants...does not have to worry about money. He will come around...and come to his senses.
