I'm glad he got to work on the latest Dallas series on TNT. So I guess he was working up until the end. Though I didn't think he looked good, and it appeared he was probably in failing health. I think he really enjoyed playing JR, the many years he played the character and it showed. His work was excellent be it JR or Tony on I Dream of Jeannie. I really enjoyed his work. I actually had forgotten that Larry Hagman, was the son of the late Mary Martin. A very famous actress.

I always forget that he was Mary Martin's son; she had him when she was a teenager and he said she was more like as sister than a mother to him. He was raised primarily by his maternal grandmother.

So true. News said Bobby and Sue Ellen, along with his family at his bedside when he died.

RIP Larry Hagman.

I have all of Dallas on DVD and I just started watching them again recently. He was the best as the evil JR. That cunning smile he had...best tv villain ever.
