I bet it was the price of having his wife be happy. A lot of older guys have the required kid with the desired younger wife. There's plenty of money around for caretaking so their married life doesn't have to suffer much at all. I sincerely doubt it was his idea or wish, and it won't have that much impact on him. Maybe he'll even like parenthood, but he sure doesn't have to.

Ancient sperm? You made it sound like it has been kicking around in his dingle berries for all these decades!

But yeah, even though they make a cute couple (probably due to matching eye glasses), 67 is a grandpa age!

There's some evidence that the age of the father makes a difference in birth defects, schizophrenia, etc. Yes, the swimmers aren't old, but the system that makes them is old.

67 a mere lad compared to Tony Randall who has his first kid (or his 25 year old wife did) -- naturally, not adoption -- at 75, and another at 77!

This thread makes me so angry.

Do you geniuses think the child is going to have a rough life? Will it lack education, or the funds to live a healthy, full life?

Steve Martin is the funniest person who ever lived, and also plays the banjo professionally. Sounds like a very happy family to me.

HOW IS THIS YOUR BUSINESS??

grrrr... this is just a thread in an online site..no more...why are you reading this thread, Pfhtex? Whether he's funny or not is up to every individual and I agree he plays the banjo well but not everyone likes banjo music. What does all that have to do with his being too old to become a dad? Being a capable parent isn't about money.
