Sad. She blew her brains out. I liked her singing. She was just committed to rehab last week by her father and had her 2 kids taken away. What a shame!!
A person can always hope for the best while realizing the worst is the most likely outcome.
Mindy McReady was in bad trouble for many years. A lot of folks who knew here history expected she would die young one way or another, but hoped she would find a way to put her demons to rest.
It's sad, and also Celebrity Rehab seems like an increasingly bad idea for a show. I mean what's the rate for people dying after treatment at a normal rehab clinic?
I don't know without doing some research, but I would imagine around the same if not higher. Serious addictions have one of three end results - death, jail, or sobriety - and sadly it seems the first two are most common.
If I recall correctly, Mindy was the one who had a scary seizure on the show... so it was obvious she was already FAR gone, both physically and emotionally. Sucks.
I loved her first album. I still have that CD, it's gotta be 15+ years old.
I'm very sadden to read this thread and see the focus on guns and suicide. The problem here is mental illness. The focus on the other issues is like an idiom I cannot think of that has to do with treating the symptom while continuing to engage in the problem and wondering why you still have symptoms elsewhere. Someone help me out here.

That's not a rumor. The sex tape actually existed. Funny thing about that tape is that it came about around the time where everyone was having sex tapes "leaked" and benefiting from them.
Between her drug problem, the Roger Clemens affair, the sex tape, her career imploding, and even her boyfriend committing suicide she was on a path to doom.
Every time I saw a picture of her, I felt that she was a deeply troubled, severely tormented soul. Anguish defined her private life. Too bad we couldn't find out the true nature of her troubles.
