Not much at first. If the show is a huge hit (a la Honey Boo Boo), their salary will increase.
Don't expect to make a fortune off it, though. Before "reality" programming became the norm, they would make a nice (not a ton) amount of money. Now that everyone wants to be a "star" they don't pay them as much (for every reality show casting, you have thousands of people applying and making asssesss out of themselves to be chosen. Production knows they don't have to pay much because these people just want to be on TV and be a "star")
Google or Bing the salaries of some of the biggest reality stars, like Honey Boo Boo. I heard somewhere that the family gets something like $50K for the season. I don't know if that's $50K each or $50K for the whole family.
Nowhere near enough to cover the price of their dignity.
You are assuming these people have dignity to begin with.
