Ohh great, the old "others have done it" excuse, so I guess we have to cut them some slack.

no i'm not saying that. i just think people are so quick to judge. i don't mean to cut them some slack. he should have to pay whatever consequence for it. there is never an excuse for drunk driving. i'm just saying...you know, the old glass house...

there were lucky people on the roads. With him being so drunk, someone could have lost their life.
Read on People online that Jim Toth may end up in rehab. Seems he likes the booze-a lot.
Dang Reese, you go a long time seeking out the right guy and end up allowing your children to be around a potential alcoholic. ~SMDH~

excerpt:"[The arrest is] just going to make the two of them stop and pause, and think about maybe how much Jim's drinking plays a role in their lives – if it does or not," the source says.

But as Toth and Witherspoon consider their next steps and the effects of the arrest on their family and their careers, they may take further action. "No one would be surprised," a third source tells PEOPLE, "if Jim goes to rehab."

True but now I wonder if she also has an addiction and she has just been able to hide it...

maybe this is the wake up call and he, and she if she too needs it, needed to seek help before someone does get hurt or killed.

I hate that excuse because it's almost a justification.
There are some of us who would never and have never driven drunk.
So it's not like impossible or something.

I wouldn't drive a Focus unless I had one too many first! On a more serious note, this could have happened to anyone as they are just human but what I cannot forgive is both drunk and driving, why couldn't they just catch a cab?

I hope the arresting officers minded Reese's chin -- that thing could qualify as a deadly weapon!

That is something I'll never understand about wealthy Hollywood types or anyone else with means. They can catch a cab. Heck, they can hire a driver! Why do so many insist on drinking and driving? It makes no sense to me. I'm so bummed with Reese right now. I always saw her as above all this stuff.

Not just Hollywood types or rich people...if you can afford to booze it up, you can afford a ride home.
