That right there bugs me so much, could care less about the rest.
I believe in getting somewhere through competitive merit. Maybe Hollywood wouldn't be putting out so much drivel if it wasn't so inbred.
At this point in the game the majority of America is inbred, not just Hollywood. I have a classmate who is enrolled in grad school ONLY to appease to the board of directors because her father handed her a job that she's not remotely qualifieed for. I'm trying to determine if at some point the people who earned what they have by doing hard work just decided they didn't want their kids to do the same or if we just started the country out with extremely uneven scales. Maybe its a combo of both....
Yes, it sucks that the rest of us have to actually have to work to get somewhere in life while Jaden was born into a good situation, but there's no need to be bitter about it.
What's the point of working hard to be successful if your family doesn't enjoy some of the benefits of that success?
I know if I made it big, I'd help my family out.
And I'm saying this as someone who just saw their movie and thought the kid came off as annoying half of the time.
Maybe Jaden's performance was unconvincing( to be charitable) but the movie looked like it was bad on all levels. The plot the special effects, the directing, the story, everything. That stupid accent they used was so annoying!
MST3000, have at it.
I'll be that kid who played Annakin Skywalker in Star Wars Episode One is breathing a sigh of relief.

Ugh, episode one. Talk about a black sheep.
But yeah, the movie wasn't that great. The special effects reminded me of the late 90s. And the accent was annoying, as well. But hey, speech patterns do change. Who knows what 1000 years would bring.
I do not like this kid or to be honest anyone in his family. I am over them. Too much exposure has spoiled them for me. For instance, using your movies as a vehicle for your spoiled child is not good to me. Jaden is not that great of an actor, and he does have the same facial expression most of the time.
Also, let him move out. Don't help him get anymore movie roles...don't help him at all. Let's see how much talent he actually has. Let him be independent and try to make it in Hollywood without his famous parents. I wish somehow he could go back before his first role and actually try to get one based on being just some kid with a weird wrinkly forehead. I doubt it would be easy for him.

I heard about it on the news and they *subtly* implied that there was something perverted about the exchange so I went and looked it up. It's amazing to me how people claim to be so sick of being forced to look at the Smith family but then they take something small and try to twist it into something grotesque.
In case you didn't know, Will Smith and his son Jaden are pretty close.
But even Jaden was surprised when his actor father planted a big smooch on his son's lips during an interview in Thailand to promote their latest film After Earth.
So how did this come about? Well, you can thank The Woody Show's host Woody Milintachinda (and the 14-year-old star for even bringing up the idea—we'll explain).
"I sense there's a distance in terms of affection between the general and his son," Woody mentioned regarding the pair's characters in the film. "Is it like that at home, or no? "Nah, we're very affectionate," both Will and Jaden said as the actor playfully tried to touch and hug his son. "He even tried to kiss me once," Jaden said, technically jumpstarting what's about to happen. Woody was then prompted to ask, "Oh, have you ever kissed your son on Thai television before?"
That's when Will grabs Jaden's face as his son yells, "No, no, no..." for what everyone expects will just be a peck on the cheek, but nope! Will goes for a full-on kiss on the lips (it's at around 4:50 in the video).
"This is ridiculous!" Jaden says as he jumps off the couch and wipes his lips.

I have two sons, one playing college football the other on his way with a baseball Scholarship(i hope)I've done a lot of things to embarrassed them over the years but ive never kissed them in the mouth. For the Record im a huge Will Smith fan since his days with Jazzy jeff days but that crossed the line of embarrassing your kids imo.

That's you & your sons. Who cares? Just like who cares about Will & his son? Crossed the line lol says who? Do you let other people determine the lines you shouldn't cross with the children that you raised? I'd rather hear stories about him kissing him as a joke than him being sent to court for back child support like these other celeb fathers.
I don't mind the whole "embarrassment" argument, although I doubt the kid will be so embarrassed that he starts using drugs because his father playfully kissed him for less than 1 second. The news reports on this are hinting like this was some form of child abuse or pedophile behavior with homosexual undertones. With all the children REALLY being sexually abused I think it's disgusting that people are taking that approach on this. My grandfather kissed all of us on our mouths growing up. When he got older, especially right before he died, most of us (even my brothers) pecked him on the mouth. I never once saw it as something sexual.
