OMG Walmart has a horrible reputation for unfair business practices, wage, age and race discrimination and they are the biggest hypocrites in the world to be calling out Paula Deen. Anybody ever been to Bentonville, Arkansas? Not exactly the bastion of Political Correctness! Nuf said.

This is just sick. Thank God I'm not famous. What would be more awful than having every facet of your life, past and present, under the microscope? Oh ....never mind....I know what would be more awful than that....ALSO having rotten, evil people who want what you have SO badly, that they'd risk destroying YOUR life, just to have what you worked so hard for. Yeah....gotta say, that would be pretty friggin awful.

The Food Network had every right to fire her. Comparing her to stand-up comedians is very shortsighted.

Reading through this thread, it is glaringly obvious who has not read her deposition. But just keep posting, some of the comments are rather amusing!

Excellent point. She essentially shot herself in the foot, so I'm not going to be crying for the multi-millionairess. I'm not a fan, but if I was, I really don't need to know she uses that word. Then her sons rush to her defense, so they probably harbor the attitudes she has given voice to.

I find it pretty amusing that 2 of the crappiest companies are distancing themselves from her.
It's ok though- I already loathe Wal-Mart & I never buy anything from Smithfield....I will however, get my Paula Deen cookware this weekend.

Good luck with her 'made in China' ...'made in Thailand' cookware. Paula is laughing all the way to the bank.

Yeah well there's other ways to protest against this stupidity then-- I may just get her cookbooks instead. I do love her recipes

You can get her recipes on line.

We thought about the cook ware - it's all coated in some nasty stuff.

So no. DW has a Holidays though out the year cook book.

Smithfield treats pigs horribly. Not surprised they dropped her like hot candied yam.

Look how they treat the poor pigs!

All things are connected.

Maybe the best thing would be for her would be to find some faith. So far, her faith seems to be in the Almighty Dollar.
