Truth be told, they are better than someone who has a very nice personality, yet does nothing for anyone but himself/herself. In a perfect world, nice people would be generous and pricks would be selfish, but as I said, people are complex.
Right--no one is all good/bad. We all have parts of ourselves that aren't exactly the brightest/shiniest for people to see. Public personas don't always match what's inside either.

I wouldn't mind seeing him lose some endorsement deals over his behavior. He is a nasty piece of work

He is a jackarse and should lose some endorsements. The whole plane incident sealed the deal for me. The fact that he behaved like an ill mannered child, mocked the flight crew, caused a delay for other passengers, and then proceeded to mock the incident again on SNL shows a total lack of class. Can't stand the guy although I have loved watching 30 Rock through my Netflix subscription.

I always loved the movie with him and Anthony Hopkins where he gets it at the end. I've just never have liked the actor and for some reason, that movie always brings a smile to my face at the end, lol. . Edit: The Edge was the movie. Had to look it up.

The thing about Baldwin is that he not only mocked the flight crew, but also seems to have an issue with any working stiff. Once on late-night TV, he was beefing about the contractors who were renovating one of his homes, and sniffed that one guy was "just a painter." He's on record, too, telling photographers to "get a real job." Also, when interviewed, he always manages to talk about how he's "played" this or that type of lowly (to him) worker. Alec Baldwin is an elitist snob.

BTW, The Edge is one of my favorite movies (poor Harold Parrineau), Baldwin is great in it, and I still say Dallas producers should've recast the role of J.R. with Alec Baldwin after Hagman's death.

He's a good actor, who's sorely lacking in humanity.

I took this pic yesterday morning outside the coffee shop. I thought about him playing on his phone in the "airplane incident" and it just struck me as a funny picture to take.

Of course he sent his very pregnant wife inside to wait on the long coffee line.

How do you know she didn't want to go inside?

Maybe she did. It was said tongue in cheek (the reason for the smiley). Besides, as pregnant as she is, she looks like she can probably still run circles around most people.

His wife is a celebrity yoga instructor, so I'm sure she is in fine physical condition. I don't know how seriously Alec practices yoga and meditation, but he should probably step it up a few notches to balance his temper and make him more compassionate.

He gets a pass because he's a badass actor. Have you seen The Cooler?

I also don't believe that Paula Deen only used a racist word one time 30 years ago.

For the record, I don't care what Paula Deen or Alec Baldwin say in their personal lives. I am not "outraged" by either of them.
