still unsure of why the guy is getting the brunt of anger for the break-up
If they were happy for 12 years then maybe that's as long as they were going to be together and happy;married or not.
That's longer than a lot of relationships.
Maybe they are BOTH ready to move on.

I agree. It's not like he held a gun to her head to stay. She even stated that she didn't want marriage.
She must not have really wanted marriage. Many women don't see any importance in marriage which is why they aren't marrying. They certainly don't "date" for 12 years if their goal is marriage unless they're really clueless. Also they don't date known playboys if they really want commitment. She probably just wanted a boy-toy and thats all she wanted.

probably her mom is pushing for her to get married.
SHE STAYED FOR 12 YEARS????? A WOMAN THAT FINE??? SMH
Glad she's finally waking up!!
If your girlfriend or boyfriend says "I don't need a piece of paper to prove my love", you need to get the heck out. What they are really saying is " I love you baby. But I wanna keep my options open"! LOL
They should want to lock you in with them and throw away the key..... that's commitment.
She's wasted 12 prime years with this clown..........
Some women don't feel the need for marriage. I'm one of them.
Yep. I never felt the need. I never felt the 'ticking clock' either.
I did finally get married, but for various practical reasons.
I can only conclude that women who crave marriage are too easily influenced by societal pressures, or perhaps their parents had really great marriages. I do know some women who married because their husbands had great earning power, but I think that's both sad and underhanded.
I remember looking around, both at my parent's marriage, and those of couples my own age, and I could really not see why that was a desirable state to be in.
When some animal populations get too thick their reproduction declines. Our brains are a part of nature, so is our civilization, though we like to think otherwise. Maybe our decisions have different triggers than other animals, but maybe not.

Well God bless you.......this aint about you or women "like" you.
This is about Anna and other women who DO want marriage.....who DO see a value in it, who still end up wasting valuable years with a guy who happy just getting his jollies.
