He might have been a good actor but if he was a heroin addict he was a bad person.
Being an addict doesn't make someone a bad person. Stupid, irresponsible, and 100 other things, sure - but not necessarily bad.
Killing yourself with heroin and leaving 3 children behind? Yeah... that one, you can make an argument for. No sympathy here for Mr. Hoffman. My sympathy tonight is all for his kids, and the other people in his life who loved him and expected better from him.
He was simply a person with a hole in the soul to fill.
Unfortunately, he chose to fill it with (like so many do these days) a drug.
You hit the nail on the head,picklejuice. There are many people in this world who drink, do drugs or both because their soul has a hole or is lost and people should not judge others because one day it could happen to them or someone they know. Everybody handles pressure/demons differently.
Who are we to judge him ? we have no right because we dont know what was going on in his life nor his demons . I hope the world lets him rest in peace .
