I recently made a comparison between three actors: Andrew Garfield, Henry Cavill and Chris Hemsworth. I originally hadn't realized they were the same age (30). Without knowing that, my perception of their age seems to vary. Henry Cavill seems a bit older. Even when he was actually in his late twenties, he already carried himself as a 30 year old. If he was said to be 32/33, I'd believe it. On the other hand, while I'm not doubting Andrew's age, if he had told people he was 28, I wouldn't question it. Chris seems to look right around his age, from my perspective.
I wouldn't say there's a certain look to being 30, but it's interesting how actors can be of a similar age, and appear younger or older. Tom Hiddleston seems more like he's in his mid-thirties, but he's just turned 33. Joseph Gordon-Levitt could still say he's 28/29.
Are there any other comparisons you've personally noted?
Jim Parsons from Big Bang Theory turns 41 next month, looks early 30s.
Rob Lowe and John Stamos always look at least 10 years younger than they are.
Tempted to add Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt but lately they've been looking their age.
