I read an interview that he did back in November (sorry don't have a link) and he said that he was having trouble sleeping. At the time he was only sleeping 1-2 hours a night. He probably was thinking 2 pills didn't do the trick last night so I'll take 3 this time. He took too much and he OD'd.
I always thought that being an actor would be somehow cathartic, since you get to choose to play roles that are not you IRL, but I guess I was wrong? The Dark Knight will no doubt leave a bitter aftertaste just as The Crow did.
I understand the idea of the 'overdose' is comforting to some, but let's be real. You cannot possibly be on medication for that amount of time and not know or understand the consequences. I won't believe that he was that uninformed. I hate to be the one to have to put it that way but those are my thoughts.
