Jim's always been a bit out there. His life was difficult over the last few years, with the girlfriends death, accusations against him for a few negative things and not as prominent movie roles. If he's depressed it's understandable. Ive always liked Jim and think he will do something signfigant movie wise in the coming years.
He seems fine to me. He's a wacky offbeat comedian and comedic actor. The beg. of the interview seems to be schtick and not real. Maybe a bit of a takeoff on the Joaquin Phoenix-David Letterman schtick.
I hate that beard on him, though. He has a cute face, so he should show it. Sometimes men grow beards to hide a full face, if they've gained weight, but he still looks slim.

exactly. he has always been different and wacky. i've seen him more subdued and obviously seen him in near robin williams level hyperactivity! (can anyone touch robin williams' hyperactivity? RIP )
i think i feel a little bad for jim sometimes, he has had some hard times. and i also think he has a nice face! personally i have never been a fan of beards, but i get why some guys want to have them. i probably would try to grow a full long beard at some point in my life if i could. i'll just stick with this pesty mustache that shows up now and then. haha! jk sort of....
I can take him or leave him (He's very talented-it's just not my type of humor)
BUT I just read about the lawsuit thrown at him and I'm o u t r a g e d!!!
IF there's anyone to blame other than the girl who ingested the drugs on her own - the pharmaceutical companies are more at fault than he is!
Jim was also popular in the 80's ~ a lot of people don't know that (he was a hilarious regular on the comedy "In Living Color"). I always liked Jim Carrey a lot. Didn't like all of his movies but really liked others, and I used to think he was really attractive, too. But I always sensed that he had a bit of a dark side (yes, I know ~ most people do, but I tend to think comedians really suffer it). I've been waiting for him to make a comeback.
Sad to see all this bad stuff come down on him. I can agree with the comment that the pharmaceutical company has blame but, unfortunately, if he did pass on his controlled substances to his girlfriend then that's a big offense. I'm a little nervous for him.
His girlfriend committed suicide. Don't know how someone gets past that.
I agree, also her family is suing him because they say he gave her STDs and drugs. His personal life has been a disaster lately, so if he seems 'off' who can really blame him?
