Call me a cynic, but it has reached the point where the difference between politics and show business is just a matter of which channel you are watching.
It's surprising to me that anyone thinks that the blurred line between politics and the arts is anything new. This has been going on for centuries. It's not "worse" now ... the only difference is that Shakespeare and Michaelangelo didn't have Twitter accounts.
It's kind of sobering when you hear people say "celebrities should keep their opinions to themselves!" and then put that in a historical context.

I don't think anyone thus far has said it's worse or new. Just stating the obvious. Anyone can state the obvious....even you.
