Did the news article say why? When he passed, either in the news article online or in Wiki he was actually quoted as saying he always wanted a daughter, that she was so important, etc. (She was adopted by him and his second wife). I took from that quote (there was more to it, of course) that he adored her over his biological children, ie his 6 sons. I wasn't too happy to read that.

Who knows? It might have been pressure from his second wife.
Interestingly, the will names his sons, but doesn't even mention his biological daughter born waaay before I remember him on TV in the 60s asking viewers to "think pink" when his first wife was pregnant with his youngest son.
He reportedly acknowledged her (the result of a three-year affair), but ended up having her bounced from his audience when she appeared at his gigs. He refused to take a DNA test, but Gary did--and it confirmed that he and Suzan shared the same biological father.

*sigh* I prefer to remember him in Cinderfella.
Really.......? (I say this as shocked, not as in disbelieving you, so take the right "tone", lol). I never knew this! So he had a bio daughter by someone other than Patti? Was this before or after or during his 6 sons? I grew up in the '60's devouring the celebrity "rag mags" and thought I had read everything about all the stars of that time and before. And here I preferred him to Dean. Not any more.
What did the will leave to his sons? The OP states he disinherited them.

She was born in the early 50s. She's about 65 now (and has a gofundme page), so it was right in the middle of his sons. I first heard about this in the 80s--and she's the spittin' image of him--and immediately thought of his public yearning for a girl when Patti was pregnant for what turned out to be the last time (that boy is now deceased). His sons were specifically disinherited, and got nothing.
The more I think about it, the more I think it was incredibly stupid for Jerry Lewis to have disinherited his sons.
Now they have no reason not to write a tell-all -- and I suspect some very dirty heretofore-unknown laundry will be aired. Reports have been swirling for decades about his nastiness.
None of that is news. And I attributed that incident with his fans to his growing, age-related cantankerousness, and said so when we discussed it here.
Apparently he was an awful man in real life. The right thing to do is for the current wife to give the sons a portion of the inheritance, even a small amount. But it's unlikely that will happen.
I found the recent video of his daughter on Inside Edition. SHE IS THE SPITTING IMAGE OF JERRY LEWIS, WITHOUT DOUBT! Since she is a homeless street person, I wish someone would get with her to do a guardianship so she can lay claim to 1/8th of his estate as his child and she would live out the rest of her life in comfort instead of on the streets. C'mon, Inside Edition peeps, legal aid, pro-bono attorneys (can anyone say "Jose Baez", Casey Anthony's attorney)?
