We just had the pure pleasure of seeing Ringo in concert. We were shocked to see on stage a seventy- seven year old man in the body of a forty (or less) year old!!

The guy is super slim ( like 1950s teenager slim), limber, with a face unaffected by Father Time. And I have to add he looks totally untouched by plastic surgery. There's no evidence of botox, fillers, or skin tightening!

The funny thing about Ringo is that he looked so old in his youth. For years he looked a lot older than Paul, George, and John .

I have known people in real life who looked old young, but kept the same look until they were really old, so they looked young! LOL! I believe Ringo is one of them. Amazing!

Did I mention his voice is exactly the same? Crazy! He gave a great concert filled with all of his hits. He was enthusiastic, funny, and engaging. He was well worth the high price (at this specific venue) ticket.

The only disappointment was that he offered only one song for encore. Unlike Paul McCartney (who gave like a gazillion songs in a gazillion encores), he was strict about keeping his concert to exactly two hours. I guess that is why his voice has held up so long and so well. Paul's voice is still great, but not like Ringo's!

Feel free to share your observations of Ringo and /or Paul --along with concert experiences.

P.S. And his All Star Band? Terrific! Enthusiastic! Energetic! Engaging! Kudos to Todd Rundgren and the others.

He has the Rock star gene probably. Ages as slow as Sammy Hagar, probably as resilient as Ozzy or Keith Richards also. The money helps also. Good to see he's still rocking.

Not to be rude, but are you kidding me? The guys you mentioned look like death warmed over and sound pretty much the same. No comparison.

Ringo was the oldest Beatle, but it sounds like he is aging well. I've always liked his "All Star" bands, and the mix of musicians he always has. Class act!

Yes. He apparently found the Fountain of Youth. You have to see him in person to believe it.

Thank you for sharing your experience at the concert! It is nice to read that he is still doing great and that his shows are worth seeing. Ringo Starr has always been a favorite person of mine. I don't know exactly why--maybe it's because John and Paul usually got more attention? I much prefer Ringo (and George). Ringo seemed even-keeled. I do remember when he was the conductor on Thomas the Tank Engine children's PBS show many years ago (he was outstanding!).

I can understand why you chose him as a favorite. He deserves it.

I saw Ringo in concert and he was equally awesome. I took my son because I wanted him to be able to tell his kids he saw a Beatle. Great concert with Todd Rundgren, Johnny Winter and Gary Wright.

We were up front and my son, who was 8 at the time, and Ringo got into a staring contest.

A good time was certainly guaranteed for all.

It seems he's consistent, to boot! Great to hear. I also enjoyed reading about the interaction with your son.

You sure that the fountain of youth ain't a plastic surgeon named Fountain?

I recall DJs in the 60s cracking jokes about how ugly the babies would be from a union of Ringo with Babs Streisand and other plug-ugly female celebrities and politicians of the day.
