Fabulous talent...I think that history will put her in the league of Fitzgerald, Vaughan, Piaf, Horne, Garland et al
Had to give you some rep points for this post as you are totally correct. I saw her perform live a couple years ago at Clive Davis' Pre Grammy dinner and she has one of the greatest voices in the past 100 years.

Jeez I ought to listen to her stuff...can't say I know any of her tunes other thean the "You are beautiful" but comparing her with Fitzgerald, Vaughn, Piaf, Horne???????????????????
I sure do like Christina's attitude, she does whatever she likes and to hell with those who disapprove.
Maybe this explains why Keep Singing My Own Song is my favourite?

She has much evolved from those days, and continues to.
You can only compare them because both of them are blonde that is pretty much it.
when it comes to talent, style, stamina, reputation, and other factors they are so different...specifically in the "talent" department.

(Beyonce has 3.1 octaves)
(Christina Aguilera 3.3 octaves -- live. 4 in the studio)
(Celine Dion 2.5 octaves)
She re-invents her image a lot. Which is refreshing and un-predictable. And her voice is sounding more "mastered" with each album.
I liked her songs before her latest album, but I wish she could tone it down a little. She sounds scratchy, even in songs I like.
Not into her change in styles either. It seems more like she has trouble finding out what really suits her. I heard she's going back to pop music for her upcoming album, thank god.
