RIP JMV

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Jan-Michael Vincent, the '80s heartthrob best known for playing Stringfellow Hawke in “Airwolf,” died on February 10 at the age of 74, according to TMZ.

I thought he really neat when I was a kid not much younger than him.

But his life became a walking disaster of drugs and alcohol. Ruined potential.

I loved his show Airwolf and its sad his life was a mess with so much potential. RIP Jan.

Last few days I like many feel our icons of youth are fast slipping away, with Luke, King and now Jan gone. Sucks.

Wow, he was such a cultural icon for that time period. He rocked in Airwolf.

I feel the same way.........seeing Carrie Fischer in the last Star Wars saga after she had passed really shook me.

I saw so many actors growing up that weren't much older than me and seeing them now gives me time for pause.

I still think back to the movie American Graffiti and look at all those young actors at the beginning of their acting careers......................Harrison Ford was so young.

Going to have to do a search for some old Jan Michael Vincent movies this weekend on streaming.

I am reading on Wikipedia that the movie Ice Cream Man was considered a cult classic. Don't think I have seen him in that.

My favorite Jan Michael Vincent movie is "Big Wednesday" from 1978. Being from Hawaii it did make us giggle at the surfing scenes.

So much beauty and potential wasted. Jan Michael, I hope you rest in peace.

I remember him. What a blast from the past. He looked like he had a lot of miles on him as he aged.

RIP.

Drugs, jail and drinking really took a toll!
(And a bad car accident)
