Got you beat at 56! But I didn't start till 21 which is one for the record books.

Since her first WAS a surrogate, I guess we can assume this latest one is too.

No doubt. If I were a celebrity, I'd just lay it all out there to end rumors. But hey, maybe they like people speculating?

Or maybe they don't care what random people think of their choices?

Didn't Janet Jackson have a baby at around that age?

I agree. I have mine at 40 and 41 and that was challenging.

She had nothing but me time in her younger years when she was in hot demand and attending Hollywood parties and basically living as a star. Her livelihood revolved around her taking care of herself and enjoying some of the finer things.

Now that she's older I would imagine that she is being offered less in the way of acting roles and she has refocused her attention on raising a family.

For those of us who had babies when we were younger - yep, I've got to agree that I have ZERO interest in having a new baby at my age. I love my young adult sons to pieces and I wouldn't trade having had the privilege of raising them for anything else in this world. But I am quite content that the baby years are behind me! I don't have grandchildren, yet, but hopefully one day! The beauty of grandchildren is that you can spoil and love them and then hand them back to their parents!

Ridiculous. 51 year olds should adopt if they still want kids.

My grandmother gave birth to my uncle when she was around 50. He was born in 1940 and the last of 10 children. My dad was born in 1930 and had at least one sister that was born between the two but I don't remember the year. I am pretty sure that all of my grandma's kids were born naturally.

It's not as common today, but it shouldn't be viewed as strange or impossible to give birth
(naturally or otherwise) at age 51.

If the first baby was via surrogate then the second baby likely was, too. Cameron couldn't have been walking around pregnant without someone taking notice. She didn't give birth, herself, but her baby was born and she now is the mom of two.

It's also possible that she had her eggs frozen some time ago (not sure how long they last) and the baby is even biologically related to her.
