Please, it's not creative - it's factual!

He was never charged with anything. He yelled at his mother and sister because they were trying to shake him down for money in a hotel room in London and they were insulting his wife.

So, just because I don't see things your way - I'm wrong? What are we in Iran or something?

Amy ... Christian Bale was abusive ... if you want to paint him as an artist, fine, but he's an abusive artist. He could have handled the situation so much better than he did. He went on and on and on and on ... he grew angrier and angrier. If I were the DP, I would have walked off, but he probably would have run after him because Bale was so out of control at that point. That's the point, he was OUT OF CONTROL. I can't imagine what else he's done without the benefit of it being on tape.

Does he need help? No
Should he be blacklisted? No
Should he apoligize? Heck yea, to the entire crew, the DP was wrong, but Bale had absolutely no justification for going on and on like he did. He crossed the line.

I personally think the media and everyone else is over-reacting. We don't know how many times the person he's yelling at ruined a scene.

We've all been mad before. And we've all had melt downs.

Must be a slow news week.

I think this is all being blown out of proportion. We all lose our temper from time to time, but since we're not celebrities, it doesn't make the front page or TMZ. From what I've read about the incident, the DP was totally unprofessional and ruined many scenes prior to Christian's rant. The DP caused an extra seven hours of filming because of his stupidity that night alone. I don't blame Bale for going off on this guy.

I can't believe people are condoning such horrid behavior. This rant went on and on. He crossed the line and verbally abused the poor guy. I mean the guy was apologizing and gets chewed out for that. Really sick. My opinion of Mr. Bale has just hit rock bottom. I won't be seeing his movies anytime soon.

I can't believe that anyone is willing to just call this a meltdown! That's just craziness.

And I can't believe that anyone doesn't understand that this probably ISN"T the full story.

But go ahead, I'm sure the new National Enquirer is out now.

Yes.
I do think his behavior was inappropriate, I don't think we know the whole story, and I also think that we here in Normal Land (or what I laughingly refer to as normal) cannot relate to some of the huge egos bouncing around the film world. This is not to say that an oversize ego is de rigueur among that lot, but they do exist and they are often coddled.
If the DP had been repeatedly tinkering with the lights, I guess it just sent Bale over the edge.

All in all, it's still not as bad as Alec Baldwin screaming at his daughter and calling her a pig - and look at the career he has!

Totally agree!!! He's been one of my fav's for years! I think he's just a very intense character actor and was wrapped up in the scene.

Anyone who condones the behavior after listening to that entire tape probably has some violence in their own life that they're not addressing...

That sort of verbal abuse is just as damaging as physical abuse.
