There are some people who just attract rabid fans who can be quite annoying. It can be a film star, singer, comedian, hell, even a sports team. What are some you have noticed? I'll start it off.
The Indianapolis Colts. I swear, these people can get annoying. I love the Colts, but sometimes you just wish they would lose to shut the people around here up. Anybody who lives in Indianapolis knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Red Sox fans were hardly around until they finally actually won the World Series in 2004, for the first time since 1918. Now they are everywhere and they are quite proud of themselves, even though they had nothing to do with it.

Patriots fans...the way they go on about him, you would think Tom Brady came off the cross and turned Pepsi into wine. I've NEVER been in a city or region where there are so many foaming at the mouth sports fans. Their lives revolve around the Red Sox and Patriots around in Massachusetts. The other day I'm getting a haircut and there was a few other customers waiting as well as a family of four. Of course an old Sox game was on TV and the barber asked about it, suddenly the entire room starts dropping stats and talking baseball to include the mother of the toddlers. Anywhere you go it's Sox this and Brady that, which is disturbing because there is so much more to this area to be fond of besides some overpaid spoiled millionares.
Lucky for me I'm a NY Giants and Mets fan, so I get to trump them every time they start yapping about how great their teams are.

Stephenie Meyers and her rabid fangirls. Though she is an author, not celebrity, I am annoyed by "Twi-hards" and "Twilighters" and whatever else they are called- I call 'em rabid fangirls. Also Rob Pattinson fans now, all they do is scream at him.
Um...David Beckham.
Troy Aikman a long time ago, not now.
I don't know, any fans of boybands! Like New Kids on the Block/NKOTB, they stll have the same fans they had in the 80s but now they're soccer moms, whereas they were 10 year olds Creepy.

When Chris Brown first came out a few years ago, his female fans were really annoying.
A lot of fans of the late Bill Hicks annoy me. "He's the greatest comedian to have ever lived. Nobody comes close. Anybody who says otherwise isn't intelligent or doesn't understand good comedy. Blah blah blah." Please. Bill Hicks is one of my favorite comedians and I'd rank him in the top 5 of all time anyday. Number one though? Nope.
Some Dane Cook fans are just a pain.

Eh, people in Indianapolis hate the Patriots. More so than any other football team. I actually went to the Colts vs Patriots game last year. My older brother and I rooted for the Patriots, upsetting many drunk hillbillies in the process.

It's the same in New England...they hate Payton Manning with a passion and refuse to acknowledge his talent. Now they hate Eli almost as much. Any time the Pats lose the excuses come flying from the mouths of local radio hosts and fans. I don't know which team to hate more...Dallas or the Patriots, both teams annoy me, but the Pats fans are worse.

amen about the Twilight/Rob Pattinson fans! I like to call them Twilight Zoners since I swear I've stepped onto a different dimension when I'm around some of these people! I'm still disgusted about the overall hype over this silly franchise (I was listening to the radio Friday night and they were literally announcing every single freaking hour that Twilight was coming out on DVD at midnight! so annoying!), but the crazy fans are even worse. I peeked at the comments section of a recent article about Rob Pattinson and the comments were all along the lines of "OMG, he is SOOOO HOTTTTTTTT!", "ur SOOOO KEWL and SEXI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", "I wanna marry u RPatz!!!!!!!!!!!!" "I LOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVE Edward!!!!!!!!!!!" and so on (my poor shift button!). and god forbid you pose a dissenting opinion about their beloved book, movie, or actor, the Twilight Zoners will attack you (apparently physically according to some bloggers!) and condemn you opinion and call you an idiot and go on to state that Twilight is the best book ever written since the printing press was invented and Rob Pattinson is the sexiest man ever (I find him to be average). hell, Twilight Zoners hurt themselves if that riot at the mall in SF is of any indication! IMHO, Twilight has some of the most immature, hostile, psychotic fans ever.
now I'm probably going to get some angry PMs or replies from Twilight fans. oh well.

I have a cousin who was born and raised in Boston. He's in a very small minority there. He thinks the Patriots are better than the Colts, but Manning is better than Brady. Just imagine the conversations he gets himself into.
