No actors but I have a cousin that's an honest-to-gosh rock star. When people hear my maiden name it's always, "Are you related to .....? OMG! I Fn LOVE him!!" (Then they ask if I can get them free tickets.)
It's funny you should bring up this thread because i've always wondered how it mush feel to be the immediate relative to someone whose a household name and why don't we hear more about their stories.
For instance, what is it like to be Tom Cruise's mom, J-Lo's sister, Michael Jackson's nephew or Oprah's cousin? What is it like to constantly hear their name in the media? At family gatherings are they treated like another family member or are they the obvious "star"? How has it changed the family, etc.
Funny you don't really hear many stories like this but there are tons of celebrities out here.
Not that I know of...
My husband and I have the same last name as a famous French actor, so people keep asking us if we are related - which, fortunately, we are not (I say fortunately because I really can't stand that actor!)
