News - UPDATE: Chris Brown Gets Five Years Probation for Beating Rihanna | Usmagazine.com

180 hours of community service and five years probation.

I think the sentence is fair.

What do you think?

Fair enough. I'm glad they at least did something.

Believe he has to attend anger management classes as well since apparently he has a history of violence. I think they will both pay in record sales, good or bad, time will tell. Yes, fair sentence IMO.

Not only do I think it's fair, I was also happy to read that the judge advised her the restraining order goes both ways; she can't be within the designated feet of him. That will prevent her from coming within 50 feet of him (10 feet if they're at the same work-related function) and claiming he violated the RO. I guess they're no longer together. I think the RO is for 5 years.

Money certainly does talk, doesn't it? Felony assault and he gets probation. Bet he violates his probation within 6 months. Bye-bye scumbag

I meant 50 yards and 10 yards.

Thumbs down Far, far too lenient

They should've sent this overrated performer and woman abuser to do some hard time for beating up a female star performer at the height of her career. She didn't deserve that. No woman does. He should've been punished much more severely for being such an abuser. He has a history of it.

I'd like to see him disappear, along with his very forgettable music.

First Time offender always get that kind of sentence. If he does it again then he'll go to jail the next time

Can you post links of his "history" of abuse? I have read so much about how she was abusive to him, but never the other way around until the incident. I'm still waiting on his ex-girlfriends to come forward and say he abused one or more of them and no one has.

Any man who beats his wife or girlfriend like that is a coward. I realize that sometime a woman will push a man's buttons (or vice versa) but that's when you just need to walk away.

My opinion...of course.
