I loved how Ed could laugh at himself. Loved those cash for gold commercials he did.

R.I.P. Ed.

I went to grade school with Ed's daughter Linda and his son Michael. At one point he lived in the Gulph Mills area of the Philly suburbs.

He and Johnny Carson worked so well together all those years. They surely complemented each other and I was a faithful follower of The Tonight Show staring Johnny Carson. They were loyal colleagues and friends and will be missed. As far as late night entertainment goes, these two were the very best. Together again, RIP Johnny and Ed.

When he was having his house problems awhile back, he didn't look so well. Sad to be having all of those problems after the great career he had. We'll miss him.

Default Ed McMahon

Now who's going to be standing at my door when I win $$$ from Publishers Clearing House?!! All kidding aside, Ed was a staple on late night television with Johnny Carson. He's had a rough last few years unfortunately. My condolences to his wife and family and may he rest peacefully with the angels.

Here's a list of some famous marines including Bea Authur. Where are the celebrities of today under the age of 60 who volunteered for the military other than Drew Carey?
