I never thought anything bad about MJ. He's amazing.

So my thread got merged in with all the others. Great.

How freaky it is - I wrote that thread almost exactly a month before his death because I felt something bad would happen. The next day I went out and bought the Essential 3.0 Collection because something compelled me to start listening to his music again, especially Stranger in Moscow, and watching his various videos. Then a month later, this.

According to TMZ, there are rumors of a Demerol (injected pain killer) overdose. If he truly was training for London, I can see how that would have happened, and he was already in poor health to begin with, so something that might not have killed a normal man would have done him in.

Nita, for me I'll be sad when the following people pass:
Bill Cosby, Carlos Santana, Lionel Ritchie (why can't the Commadores make a come back), any member of Earth Wind & Fire, Oprah, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Stevie Wonder, and there are others just can't think of them at this time.

I liked Nat King Cole too. I was really sad when Marvin Gay died especially the way he died. Gregory Hines will always be missed in my book. He was a great talent that passed too young as well.

Michael Jackson will be missed regardless of his last 18 years in the media. I believe we not only lost a pop icon we are mourning our own memories of where we were when we hear his songs and our memories of our childhood. Everyone young and old knows who Michael Jackson was. Michael Jackson was one of my first musical crushes as a young girl.

Some of them work in the entertainment industry and are successful in their own right. What are you talking about? I think they are in mourning of their brother and or son. They also have memorabilia that is worth more today than days before sadly to say.
