Ok, she stared in a movie with Tom Cruise and it made her famous. But I CAN'T STAND HER!!!!!!!! Can't stand the squnity eyes. When they make a big deal about her up and down weight loss for roles I really don't notice a difference. Her facial expressions are weird and she looks like she has too many shots of botox. She is not the girl next door please STOP FORCING IT ON US!
Funny, I've commented about her "squintiness" for many years.
I think she's in a good actress in most of her films, but I don't like her looks at all. Besides her eyes and lips, she also has chipmunk cheeks and is white as a sheet.
I'm with you Dave. She seems more down to earth and real than most of the plastics in Hellwood

wow, you guys are pickin her to pieces.
Why diss her skin tone? One doesn't have to ruin their skin with the gawd awful tans to be beautiful

That is true.
But it's just a personal thing with me. I absolutely cannot stand blue-white skin. And, oddly enough, I didn't notice that about her when she starred in "Jerry McGuire".
~sigh~ you would hate me then
I can't tolerate the sun due to migraines and skin cancer issues. Not my fault and I'm sure a lot of us without suntans have similar issues or prefer to preserve our skin.
Didn't know that meant we couldn't be pretty. I dunno

My favorite screen beauty has a very light complexion and that is Kate Winslow. Her color isn't as transparent, though. But what difference does my opinion make? The OP wanted our thoughts on this actress's looks and I gave him mine.
On the other hand, I don't like real dark fake tans, either. That looks good only on the ethnics that it's natural to.
