"If Woods can persuade his wife Elin Nordegren not only to stick by him, but also to say in the presence of a large media outlet or two that she has forgiven her imperfect husband and that everyone else should feel free to do likewise, then resurrecting his image is easier than nine holes of putt-putt.

The quicker this can be done, the better. Woods is uniquely ill suited to being the center of a tabloid whirlwind. He's excruciatingly private, he plays in a conservative, country-club sport, and he and his team have cultivated a personal brand that represents control, discipline and a hair-away-from-perfection.

"What Tiger and his advisers have managed to do so far is make this a much bigger story," says Michael Sitrick, CEO of the crisis-management firm Sitrick & Co. "There's this mind-set that if you hunker down and take the 'high road,' it will go away." The publicist points to Bill and Hillary Clinton as exemplars of the "wife first" approach: once Hillary said it was between Bill and her, the heat went down. "If he can get his wife to support him, I'd pick one print and one broadcast outlet and then never talk about it again."

What will it take for Tiger Woods to save his marriage?

10% - Say it’s for the kids and vow to never cheat again

8% - Rip up the prenup and say it’s all yours if he cheats again

6% - Admit he’s sick and get professional help

20% - All of the above

35% - It’s too late, his wife should dump him

21% - It’s too late, get a divorce and play the field

I hope it isn't true that he is revising his pre-nup and or is funding a private bank account, and giving Elin half of his earnings. That would be the stupidest moves so far. The man should just get a divorce.
Well sadly if true, it does'nt sound like a reconciliation move forward. It's more like salvaging his trophy wife and what's left of the marketing image through yet another slick business deal. Marriage and relationships aren't or should be about monies. However, the celebrity world is not necessarily a normal world most human beings would relate to anyway.

Who the hell is releasing all this info? I'd imagine that it's a very small group of people, including Tiger and Elin, involved in these deals.

He should just come clean with everything. The longer he stays quiet and tries to keep it private...the larger it will become. The media in this country is relentless and is a big money-making business. The only thing that could provide that privacy right now would be another story of massive proportion to trump it.

I love how HE is the one who cheated on his wife, for YEARS, while she was pregnant even and people are calling her a gold digger/trophy wife

You are right, but some people perform incredibly well under pressure, especially when people may be rooting for them to fall. We will see how well he does. I want him to do well just to watch all his fans who have jumped ship (if any) come running back.

Didn't Kobe make some incredible stats when his rape trial was going on? Look at him today- hardly anyone even mentions it.

I know that is a huge reason for them not divorcing. His image and brand will suffer immensely. Not to mention the man really may be sorry and ready to make amends. He made a mistake and it is playing out for the whole world to see.
