No, because I know they are being paid for said endorsement.

For me, no celebrity, sports star, etc, influences me to buy something. If I want to try the product, it's cause I'm curious for myself, not because so and so said it was fabulous!!

We want to see when they celebrate the goals and also the rerun of the goal.

A little OT but I had to vent a little....
I'm with ya...I get tired of these companies paying ridiculous amounts of money to people who...IMHO...do little/nothing to increase sales; they should concentrate on making the BEST product and then it will sell itself. .

One other annoying thing is those that wants to be funny and then it goes on and on and on....
They should concentrate on making me wanting to buy a product.
Those who once made me go out and buy a Twix succeeded and that is the way a commercial should be.
Maxwell House also had a few nice commercials a few years ago.

Everyone on this forum says that endorsement of a product by a celebrity doesn't influence them but yet there are products that have made it by a simple endorsement of a product by celebrities all the time.

Amazing

I have bought products because of an endorsement I admit to it some were like this product ain't worth crap but then again I have bought to find out the product was worth every penny I spend.

I have also bought products without endorsements with the same reaction.

Do I buy a product simply because of an endorsement no but if I need the product I may or may not try it simply because of an endorsement.

I think they would be more effective if you could see some positive results. Like those Proactive acne products. The Law and Order guy saying he likes Ameritrade doesn't do it. Maybe something like if Adult film performer 'Big Bob' came on TV and said, 'I know there are many products for men out there, but when I have a big orgy scene, I prefer Cialis'. Maybe Id think about it.
