Personally I'm trying to find some good games to play on my ipod. Seems when I'm on the subway and someone is playing a game on their ipod the game looks really fun. I try to find it on Itunes and can't. So I'm asking you what game apps you recommend? I like all types from car race games to puzzle type games.

Feel free to also post any other type of app that you think makes life easier.

Thanks.

Next time you see someone playing what looks like a fun game on the subway, why not just ask them what it is? Most New Yorkers (and I stress 'most') won't bite you.

Angry Birds is great for passing time. As is Paper toss.

We Doodle is good if you have others to play with.

Well, errrr, ummm, because it relates to things to do on a train! And how to pass time with a free New York minute?

Actually this came to mind after I posted but I put a lot of stock in NY'ers being in the know.

Thanks Fred, I've learned and know now.

funny enough recently I had seen someone play Angry Birds on the N train recently.
Easily the best and most addictive one I have tried.

I see people playing Angry Birds all the time and have even had people ask me what it is when I've been playing it. I also do the New York Times' crossword sometimes too. Fruit Ninja is addicting too.

I was on the J train in Brooklyn over the summer and this total thug-type guy sat down next to me, whipped out his phone and began playing Angry Birds. It was pretty funny.

Angry Birds. Seriously, if I see someone playing a game on the subway and look over their shoulder, 9 times out of 10 that's what it is.
