I have both and of course it's easier to key in my notes on the iMac, but it's nice to have the ability to add or change on the iPod touch when I'm out and about.
It's the best $2.99 I've ever spent. BTW, one can use the web app at no cost, and that gives you the chance to see if you like and will actually use it.
I've tried a couple of handwriting apps and they don't work well for me, though this looks like a nice one. And it's nice that it syncs with Dropbox, which is a great app and tool.
