I've done a bit of research about this company, and think they'd be a good idea. for only $40 a month, unlimited text, talk, & web...and for $50 you could get a Android phone too, and get so many free aps! You could watch tv, listen to music, etc, etc.

Just concerned with the reception one might get with them. Are they okay?

Here in Las Vegas they are really good with 4G almost everywhere. Cannot speak for elsewhere. Doesn't matter really because they won't be around in a few years. They will be swallowed by Verizon (after Sprint of course).

well, if I decide on MetroPCS I'm getting the one with NO contract. Won't deal with Verizon. too costly for what you get.

You can only get Metro with no contract so no worries there for you. My sister had Metro up until a few weeks here in Vegas. I used to hate talking to her because it was guaranteed that the call would drop at least a couple of times during the conversation. Hopefully they're more reliable where you're located. If so, it's hard to beat the price.

What do people think of AT&T wireless reception?

I am going to start a thread on that.. but My friend has comcast tv & internet and both of them suck.. The tv is so limited in its channels... and the broadband internet is sooooo slow... they say it's like dialup.

They can switch to U-verse and cable tv via AT&T and they could also get a cell phone (450 min) for only $89....
The only thing is.. they'll have to wait a few weeks for installation, and they'll lose their internet service for about 2-3 weeks...

However, AT&T says they'll refund them with a $150 gift card for switching off Comcast and going with them if they take the cell phone plan too.
If they don't take the cell phone plan, they'll give them a $100 gift card...
I don't know what to advise my friend, but I've gotten on their internet, and it's slow as molasses.. The videos are all stuttery.. However, they do need their internet service for work... so that's a bummer...
What would you advise? Be stuck with lousy Comcast service for a year, or be without internet for 2-3 weeks and get a better deal and better internet and tv channels plus a good cell phone that has run over minutes too?
