I'll stick with Androids. I rather like the ability to install whatever I want on a device I own.

To be fair, Verizon's excellent marketing and advertising has made it so that a lot of people refer to Android-OS phones as "Droids" instead of "Androids".

Exactly the term "Droid" is now a common place slang for meaning Android regardless of carrier. Everyone in my circle has been saying "Droid" to mean Android regardless if they're on Sprint Verizon T-Mobile Virgin.

Ahh, I see where the confusion is. It's hard to make out what people mean when they're using incorrect brands.

The misuse of the term is not common around here. I wonder what George Lucas thinks about this.
My sprint upgrade date is Feb 1st and I am very tempted to ditch my Android for an iphone. I just want something that works properly without customization. My android phone never worked well so I've spent a lot of time rooting, removing bloatware, flashing custom OS and kernels. I even have to use a bluetooth gps device if I want a reliable gps signal in the car. Thanks Sprint and Samsung for releasing a phone then dropping support and updates after less than a year.
It is for me.
$200 for an 8GB phone? $300 for a 32?
My company paid $150 for my 8GB phone and I added 32gb . 40GB phone for less then the cheapest good iPhone?
(3gs sucks, I would not recommend that to anyone except younger kids)
No brainer for me.
All the newest pohones can run even the most advanced LWP without any noticable performance hit. It's really amazing.
No, no one NEEDS them... but they are cool as hell.
yeah, you're wrong.
$0 for 8GB iP3GS
$99 for 8GB iP4
$199 for 16GB iP4S
$299 for 32GB iP4S
$399 for 64GB iP4S
Excellent for iOS customers as well as Sprint. I wish T-Mobile could get theirs, too. Maybe once the AT&T thing is put to rest for good, and T-Mobile can make a decision on its own again, they'll take care of business.
