I got this new Samsung Dart Android Smartphone & have been trying to set up my home email to it without success.

I was on the phone for a total of 2-3 hrs w/ the T-Mobile, Samsung, AND my internet service provider (Charter Communications) trying to set this email up & no one could help.

I tried typing in my email address & email password, but got an error message saying it couldn't be done. Then, tried manually setting it up where I also type incoming port #, IMAP, even tried under POP3, etc & still no go. The phone reps have even had me take out the SIM card & start all over. I'm new to all this kind of thing, so if anyone's explaining, do so in layman's terms.

Can anyone help me? Thank you!

Security type? This was the biggest stumbling block for mine (Mediacom) and I finally got it running by trying every option.

Right now it is SSL (If available) and is working

What type of e-mail is your home e-mail? If it is something like Hotmail, there may be an app for it.

Yep, I knew all that info. They must have done something on T-Mobile or Samsung's end because I got it up & running now!

Thanks anyway guys!
